Jo, a founding member of the Arts Center Task Force, is a Mid-Columbia performing arts leader and owner of JB Productions. She offers more than 30 years of experience in stage direction and production—from dinner theatres to major events, outdoor theatre, and staged productions.
Some these include the Tri-Cities Goodwill Games, First Night Tri-Cities, and more than 30 shows produced in association with Mid-Columbia Musical Theatre.
Jo studied music and dance at the University of Cincinnati and the Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati and Indianapolis, and attended Butler University in Indianapolis, majoring in the fine arts, piano, and dance.
Jo and her family moved to Richland in 1967, where she immediately became active in the community. She has worked for the (nee) Association of Retarded Citizens, the Richland School District as the Richland High School Auditorium manager, and the Pasco Chamber of Commerce. She also taught philosophy and logic at Columbia Basin College, and has served on the boards of many organizations. Jo organized a Chautauqua for the City of Kennewick, several festivals for Pasco, and has been heavily involved in all four "First Nights" in the Tri-Cities. Jo has also directed several Miss Tri-Cities Pageants and Miss Washington Pageants.
